The Alas Pilipinas Women’s core led by Jia de Guzman is returning for national team duty, as the Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) has appointed Japanese mentor Taka Minowa as head coach of the squad for the Aichi-Nagoya 20th Asian Games from September 19 to October 4.

Minowa was a former head coach in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) with the Akari Chargers, and the husband of former national team standout Jaja Santiago (Sachi Minowa).
